Birthday Parties
Birthday parties are available year-round with reservations being made at least two weeks in advance. Each party is 2 hours in length and includes 10 youths and 2 adults. Parents can arrive 30-minutes early to set-up their party location.

ZOO-PER PARTIES INCLUDE:
Private Party Area
Choose between the Wallaby Pavilion or the Sanford Carousel.
The Education Classroom will be used for inclement weather or during the winter months.
Access to the Zoo & Delbridge Museum
After your party you are welcome to stay and tour the Great Plains Zoo & Delbridge Museum.
Winter: October – March 5:00 p.m. closing
Summer: April – September 7:00 p.m. closing
Choice of two activities:
You may choose two, with the exception of the Dino-Roars! Exhibit
- NEW! Dino-Roars! Exhibit (if chosen, this will be your only activity) January-April 22, 2012
- 10 tickets for the train (seasonal), carrousel (seasonal), or animal feed
- Museum scavenger hunt (K-adult)
- 15-minute animal encounter
Party Extras
Round Out Your ZOO-PER BIRTHDAY PARTY by adding these choices to your package:
- Dino-Roars! Exhibit – $3 per person January – April 22, 2012
- Tokens for the train (seasonal), carrousel (seasonal), or animal feed – $0.95 per token if purchased in quantities of 10 or more
- Animal Feed – $15
- Museum Scavenger hunt – $1 per person
- Animal Encounters – $25 for 15 minutes
Ice Cream & Party Favors
Ice cream treats and other food items can be purchased from the Massai Market. Small party favors and trinkets can be purchased from our Gift Shop. Arrangements can be made following confirmation of a scheduled booking by calling (605) 367-8313 ext. 15.
Bringing Cake and Food to your ZOO-PER Birthday Party
Parents are welcome to bring birthday cake and food to the party. Outside arrangements for pizza and subs are easy options for parents to consider. The Zoo does not have a freezer to store ice cream treats.
Gentle Reminders
Party plates, napkins and table coverings are the choice of the parents. Balloons are prohibited due to animal safety issues. Parents are responsible for the general clean-up of the party area. An invoice will be at admissions and can be paid at the time of departure.
